Comparably’s top 100 highest-rated CEOs for Women of 2023 is based on anonymous employee sentiment ratings from female employees, and how they rate and approve of their company’s CEO. Comparably Award rankings were determined based on a series of questions about the CEO, and the final data set was compiled from 20 million ratings across 70,000 companies.

Further Details on the Methodology
- Comparably’s 6th annual Best CEOs for Women is derived solely from female employees who anonymously rated their CEOs on Comparably.com over a 12-month period (May 2022-May 2023).
- The final data set was compiled from 15 million ratings across 70,000 companies large and small.
- To qualify, Large companies (more than 500 employees) must have met a minimum of 75 employee participants and Small/Mid-Size companies (500 or less employees) must have met a minimum of 25 employee participants.
- Additional weight was given to companies with more participation from their employee base, relative to their company size, for statistical significance.
- There were no fees or costs associated with participating, nor was nomination required.
