To understand the benefits of sleeving and tubing one must understand cable management. Electrical sleeving and tubing<\/a> provide routing, protection, and identification. Many of today\u2019s machine building projects are very complex and color coding or bundling (with sleeving) makes identification and troubleshooting much easier, safer, and presentable. Another benefit with using sleeving and tubing is the increased ability to withstand much harsher environments therefore resulting in extending the cable\u2019s shelf life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are several products that offer the organizational and protective benefits of bundling and protecting cables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An electrical sleeve<\/a><\/strong> is a braided, knitted, woven or extruded tube used to slip over bare or weakly insulated conductors in an electric assembly. There are several types of sleeving that tolerate various temperature ranges and voltage requirements. These sleeves are manufactured using a special type of fiberglass yarns and high-temperature fibers and vary by material type and braid fabrication, which range from Polyester, Polypropylene, Flame Retardant, Flame resistant and Nylon.
