MISUMI USA LAUNCHES NEW COMPONENTS

MISUMI INTRODUCED NEW PRODUCTS FOR FACTORY AUTOMATION AT
RECENT ATX WEST SHOW IN ANAHEIM, CA

Misumi USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Misumi Corporation, part of Misumi Group, Inc. (TOKYO: 9962) displayed several of its newest components for the factory automation industry at last week's ATX West show in Anaheim, California. Misumi is a world leader in supplying fixed and configurable components for all types of motion control, assembly and related factory automation devices.

Misumi's new product offerings for machine builders and automation system designers and engineers include:

� Two new Linear Bushing designs - Pillow Block-type Linear Bushings, now available with Clamp Levers (Main Part No: LHBBC16), and MX Type Self Lubricating Linear Bushings (Main Part No: LHBB-MX16).

� A new line of Magnetic Transmission Drive components which are well-suited to applications in which the non-contacting components result in ultra-low dust generation. The components were demonstrated live at the Misumi booth. They are ideal for use in cleanroom assembly operations in the semiconductor, circuit board, business appliance and consumer electronics markets.

� Expanded line of LX Single-Axis Actuators with new features such as ballscrew lead options and low dust raise grease. LX Single-Axis Actuators have numerous applications in providing precision linear motion to packaging, medical, semiconductor, automotive and other automated assembly operations. Misumi's LX Series models are now available in 1000 possible configurations, up from 200 in the original series.

Also featured at the exhibit were Misumi's extensive selection of linear guides, linear bushings, shaft supports, ball screws, compact square supports, standard and customized metal plates, aluminum frames and extrusions, and much more. Most Misumi components are configurable, with downloadable CAD files and full specs available at the company's website. During ATX West, Misumi conducted its Configurable Component Technical Seminar for machine, equipment and assembly system engineers to demonstrate the multitude of efficiency, quality and cost advantages of specifying configurable components.
