MISUMI USA LAUNCHES 2011-2012 UNIVERSITY ENGINEERING PROGRAM,
APPLICANTS CAN QUALIFY FOR FREE APPLE IPAD 2 RAFFLE

Innovative engineering-focused program open to students and their professors - aims to inspire the next generation of factory automation design engineers.

October 14, 2011 (Schaumburg, IL) ― MISUMI USA, Inc., a subsidiary of MISUMI Corporation, part of MISUMI Group, Inc. (Tokyo: 9962), has announced the launch of its 2011/2012 University Engineering Program.  From now through June 28, university engineering students and their professors are invited to register for the program and, upon acceptance, will automatically qualify for a drawing to win one of three (3) Apple iPad 2 tablet computers.  

To kick off the program, MISUMI will provide each accepted participant with a copy of its 3600-plus page catalog of Metric Components for Assembly Automation. The company will also provide online access to MISUMI's library of pre-recorded technical webinars on configurable mechanical components and related topics. In addition, MISUMI's team of experienced engineers will take a proactive role, providing personalized field-savvy expertise, counsel and training on the use of factory automation components and solutions.

That is why we continue to sponsor education programs such as this.  MISUMI will also co-sponsor the ASME's iShow on June 12, 2012 in Montreal, in which top college teams compete for seed funding to further develop their innovative products and projects."     

To enter into the MISUMI University Engineering Program, individual university students and/or professors simply need to complete a short registration form that provides specific information about their school's engineering discipline and a brief description of their specific engineering project. Applications will be reviewed for suitability by MISUMI USA's engineering team. The names of accepted applicants will be entered into the prize drawing raffle.
