New & Improved Die Components
Die Components for High Tensile Strength Steel Stamping
MISUMI offers a wide range of die components for high tensile strength steel stamping that include nest guides, locating pilot pins, and flying cam units. Each of these products have excellent wear resistance, making them suitable for high tensile strength steel stamping.
Nest Guides for Ultra High Tensile Strength Steel Stamping
Flame-hardened steel (HMD5) with excellent wear resistance is used for the guide section, to reduce breakage and wear caused by stamping high tensile steel and thick steel sheets. The result of the internal testing shows equivalent wear resistance compared to hardened SKD11 (D2 equivalent).
The guide and mounting plate are fixed with two fastening bolts instead of the previous design of one bolt and welded along the outer perimeter with an extensive welding range. The range of the welding is more than double compared to the regular series, in order to reduce cracking and breakage when used repeatedly.

Locating Pilot Pins for Ultra High Tensile Strength Steel Stamping
When stamping ultra high tensile strength steel, especially materials over 980 MPa, current undercut relief design of regular pilot pins tends to end up breaking from the step between the head and shaft.
MISUMI upgraded the relief groove design into a fillet radius, therefore improving the durability of the stepped part and eliminating possible breakage.

Flying Cam Units for High Tensile Strength Steel Stamping
MISUMI developed the T-MGFV Flying Cam Units to allow for these features:
Supports High Working Force
Upgrades to the material of internal components, sliding surface area, and tucking angle improves the wear resistance, therefore increasing the working force.
Mounting Compatibility
Compared to conventional flying cam units (MGFV65, 80), the mounting surface position, shut height, mounting surface area, and mounting hole position are the same.
Bite Prevention
Adopting a gas spring as the cam return pressure source generates an enhanced cam return force (approx. 9% of the allowable working force). This resolves the lack of stripper force.
MISUMI’s Flying Cam Units for high tensile steel strength stamping come in a wide range of options to fit your specifications.
