  • TM Magnet selection
    • ① Orthogonal type or Parallel type? → Orthogonal type (MDQ26-10, MDQ26-1 temporarily selected)
      ② Required number of units
      Base length / Workpiece length x 2 = 1150 / 320 x 2 = 7.2 → 8pcs/side
      ③ Required torque
      Transferred weight M = 0.4kg
      When rolling friction coefficient μ = 0.04,
      required tangential force F (N) = 9.8 x M x μ, so F = 9.8 × 0.4 × 0.04 = 0.1568N
      TM Magnet torque FT = 0.068N・m
      When transfer roller DIA. D = 40mm,
      Transfer capacity FH (N) = 2 × FT / D, so FH = 2 × 0.068 / 0.04 = 3.4N
      since F < FH, so satisfied.
  • Motor selection
    • When the TM Magnets are in close proximity, 3200G magnetic flux density is generated.
      3200G = 0.32T
      To support 0.32T, the pressure (0.32 × 2) 2 = 0.41 atmospheric pressure is applied. 0.41 atm = 42 N / m²
      Load of 42 × (0.041 × 0.014) = 0.025N is applied (Because of φ26 x L14 magnet)
    • Sprocket DIA. D = 44.62 × 10⁻³m
    • External force F = 0N
    • Friction coefficient μ = 0.2
    • Load mass W x Gravitational acceleration g = 0.025N

Other Design Consideration

  • Per one drive section, two rows of rollers are synchronized.
  • Do not use TM Magnets if the work piece is magnetic.
