    • Workpieces are stopped at a predetermined position with rough accuracy.
    • The roller ascends from the standby position.
    • The roller slides laterally to position the workpiece (during positioning, the workpiece faces a stopper).
    • A camera of another unit inspects the workpiece.
    • The roller slides laterally and descends (to the standby position).
    • The workpiece is conveyed by the transfer part of another unit.

Points for use

  • A mechanism in which the unit descends after workpiece positioning to avoid interference with the next workpiece.

    • From load applied to cylinder: F = mgμ, F = 16.6 x 9.8 x 0.3 = 48.9N.
    • From cylinder output (during outstroke): F1 = η x A1 x P, F1 = 1 x 491 x 0.4 = 196.4N.
    • Safety factor: F1/F = 196.4/48.9 ≈ 4.

Other Design Consideration
