Optomechanic Platforms

A platform is an instrument used to adjust the position of an optical element when conducting an optical experiment. The main application is to adjust the height of the optical axis, and it is possible to specify an arbitrary height within the range of standard dimensions. There are various types of products such as those suitable for adjusting the height of a single component with a compact mounting surface, those for adjusting the height of somewhat large components due to the wide mounting surface, those specifying the height in 1 mm increments, products that can be bolted onto the base or anti-vibration table, etc. Many products have a combination of plates and rods, each of which is made of aluminum or stainless steel that has been treated with black anodizing. Some products require the height and size of the mounting surface to be specified in advance, while others can only be changed in height by purchasing a pole.
