Tapered Roller Bearing

Tapered roller bearings consist of tapered inner and outer raceways with conical rollers arranged between them. This geometry allows them to support combined radial and axial loads in one direction. The contact angle determines the ratio of radial to axial load capacity, with steeper angles providing greater axial load support at the expense of radial capacity.
