AWG vs. Circular Mils | Chart

This chart shows the relationship between AWG sizes and their equivalent circular mil areas, tying each gauge back to the actual diameter and amount of metal in the conductor. By looking at both side by side, it becomes easier to understand why small changes in gauge can result in large changes in conductor area, especially as wire sizes increase. The chart is intended as a quick reference for translating between gauge numbers and physical conductor size
