FAQ
- Compared to Standard Extrusions (HFS), what are Light Extrusions (HFSL) suitable for?
- Light Extrusions are suitable for application where light frame is needed or for cost reduction.
For 30mm square extrusions, for example, Light Extrusion has 15% less allowable load than Standard Extrusion.
- What are tolerances for extrusion outside dimensions?
- Tolerance for cross-sectional dimensions is ±0.5mm.
Length tolerance is also ±0.5mm, unless high precision cut alteration is specified (±0.2mm or less). Alteration is applicable when extrusion length is 1500mm or smaller.
- What material is used for MISUMI aluminum extrusions?
- MISUMI aluminum extrusions are made from A6N01SS-T5 (JIS Standard) Aluminum Alloy. This material has higher rigidity than Extruded Aluminum Alloy A6063.
- Compared to other manufacturers, what is the precision of cut surface ?
- It is difficult to compare because no manufacturer discloses the precision of cut surface.
However, MISUMI Aluminum Frames have enough precision to surpass JIS Standard (Special Class).
- How can I select appropriate brackets?
- We recommend selecting brackets based on required load and extrusion length.
When extrusion length is 1m or less, we recommend HBLFSN series. When the length is more than 1m, we recommend Thick/Ultra Thick Brackets.
- What is maximum gap between extrusion brackets on aluminum frame where cover brackets for attaching cover panels can be omitted?
- When length of one side of the panel is 800mm or more, it is recommended to use one panel support bracket in the middle (at 400mm).
- Are MISUMI aluminum extrusion available overseas?
- Yes. Please refer to "World Network" page in our catalog.
