Continuing the winning streak of 2023, MISUMI has been recognized by Comparably for three prestigious awards including Best Company Perks & Benefits, Happiest Employees, and for the fourth consecutive year, Best CEOs.
Comparably awards are determined through anonymous employee feedback collected over a 12-month period, with the final data set compiled from 15 million ratings across 70,000 companies. The Top 100 ranked list is segmented by Large companies (more than 500 employees) and Small/Mid-size companies (fewer than 500 employees).
In a joint statement, Nobuyuki Ashida, President of MISUMI USA, and Randy Yu, Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Communications said,
“There is something truly special about having our employees’ feedback drive these awards. While our work to define MISUMI’s Employee Value Proposition is continually evolving, it’s tremendously humbling and rewarding that the voice of our employees has let us know that we are heading in a very good direction. We are truly grateful to everyone.”

Methodology
- The ‘Best CEO’ award specifically relies on approval ratings and sentiment expressed by employees towards their chief executive officers.
- The ‘Happiest Employees’ award is a combination of factors that contribute to happiness at work, including a positive environment, fair pay, excitement about work, clear company goals, and pride in the company.
- The ‘Best Companies for Perks and Benefits’ award is based on satisfaction of perks and benefits and encompasses rating of perks, satisfaction with benefits, amount of paid time off, and if benefits play a part in staying at the company.
- To qualify, Large companies (more than 500 employees) must have met a minimum of 75 employee participants and Small/Mid-Size companies (500 or fewer employees) must have met a minimum of 25 employee participants.
- Additional weight was given to companies with more participation from their employee base, relative to their company size, for statistical significance.
- There were no fees or costs associated with participating, nor was nomination required.
