MISUMI headquarters has relocated to a state-of-the-art building in Schaumburg’s beautiful Corporate Center. We thought we’d share a snippet of what our new space for the hard-working employees of MISUMI looks like.

Welcome to MISUMI

When stepping off the elevator on either floor, you will be met with strong MISUMI branding indicating what floor you’re on. MISUMI yellow for the 12th floor and MISUMI blue for the 13th floor.

Our reception area is located on the 13th floor. MISUMI guests can have a seat on the couches while waiting and learn more about what’s happening at MISUMI via the display monitor.

Configuring the Space

Starting with a blank canvas, the team wanted to be sure to configure a space that both increased productivity and inspires. MISUMI branding was key. Adding a timeline wall shows the growth and achievements over the years accomplished by everyone in the company evoking a sense of pride.

A new building also calls for finding your way whether it’s to a conference room or to visit a different department, creating a familiar wayfinding system was important. And so, the system was inspired by Chicago’s famous “L” subway system.

Another ode to Chicago that we’ve had as part of our culture is dedicating our conference rooms to Chicago’s elite sports teams – White Sox, Cubs, Bears, and even United Center.

Recharging

An open space breakroom where employees can grab a coffee, eat lunch, or catch up with a co-worker is another highlight. Can you smell the aroma of coffee?

Configured to Inspire

One of the things missing from our previous building was strong branding to reinforce our core competency – configurability. Naturally, the team worked hard to create graphics and signage that shares that message to inspire employees. Plus, it looks really cool!

After months of planning, renovation, and installation, the new space is finally complete. This project could not have been accomplished without the dedication of our support team. Notably, Allegiance Construction Group, Divine Signs, The Schaumburg Business Association, and Glenstar. The MISUMI team is beyond grateful for the new space and looks forward to working safely in it.
