The chart below lists common species and their typical density values in two units—wood density in kg/m³ and lb/ft³—so you can reference whichever system you work in. Use it as a practical starting point: density is usually reported at a standardized moisture content, and real-world boards can land higher or lower depending on how dry they are, how they were grown, and how they were milled.
