One of the biggest concerns in assembly factories is the production line footprint, or the area that automation stations occupy. In order to make the most efficient use of a given building’s layout, conveyors and workstations are placed in close proximity to each other. This can be beneficial in saving space, but lead to difficulties when transferring and orienting parts.

Our newest InMotion Video features a motor and gear system that rotates a machine arm and gripper simultaneously. This application uses rod end bearings, rod end coupling rods and spur gears as well as other parts which can be located on the bill of materials by clicking here.

If this has inspired you to use simple components in creative ways, come back next time for another inCAD Library: IN Motion video, or visit https://us.misumi-ec.com/us/incadlibrary/ for more application examples.
